Sakura House Izakaya

The team behind The Waratah is bringing a fresh late-night energy to Sydney's CBD with Sakura House.

Cynthia Litster and Evan Stroeve have tapped Nick Sherman, former head chef of Cho Cho San, to lead the kitchen, where he's crafted a tight, expressive snack menu built specifically to complement drinking.

This isn't your typical early-closing city venue. Sakura House operates Monday through Saturday from 5pm to 2am, with a 4am license coming soon, positioning it as a genuine late-night destination. Expect an ambitious drinks program, live music, and food designed for the after-dark crowd.

Located in the basement of 82-88 Elizabeth Street, the izakaya promises quality drinks and entertainment that caters to Sydney's night owls looking for more than just another dinner spot.
