Flight Path Newtown

Newtown, Sydney's vibey inner-west enclave, has a new bar for wine enthusiasts with the arrival of Flight Path.

Tucked along the buzz of Enmore Road, Flight Path Wine Bar offers something refreshingly different for Sydney’s Inner West, a cellar door experience without ever leaving the city. Opened in 2024 by locals Stu and Elise Williams, the 50-seat wine bar is all about discovery and connection, celebrating boutique winemakers through rotating “wine flights” that spotlight a new small-scale producer every few weeks. Whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or just dipping your toes into the world of natural drops, this neighbourhood gem is designed for curious drinkers and casual sippers alike.

Inside, it’s all warm timber, soft lighting, and shelves lined with bottles that tell stories. The impressive list of 30-plus wines by the glass spans local vineyards and international finds, complemented by craft beers, spritzes, and seasonal cocktails. The Euro-inspired grazing menu ties it all together, think artisan cheeses, terrines, anchovies, and the much-loved mushroom pâté that’s quickly earned cult status. On Wednesdays, the team partners with neighbours Rosso Antico for wood-fired pizza nights, pairing Italian reds with margheritas and mushroom truffle slices that arrive fresh from down the road.
