Bronte Fishnets

Fishnets Bronte, Japanese dining done the Bronte way

Fishnets Bronte is the second Bronte venue from Alex Cameron’s Overwhelming Hospitality group. This neighbourhood restaurant sits somewhere between fine dining and laid-back local, championing technique without the formality. Located 400 metres from Table Manners at 118 Macpherson Street, Fishnets is designed to add another layer to Bronte's emerging evening dining scene.

Former Sokyo omakase chef Sanghyeop Kim leads the kitchen alongside group executive chef Luke Churchill, delivering elevated nigiri, hot dishes and a selection of Australian and Japanese Wagyu. The drinks program features a focused wine list highlighting Japanese winemakers working globally, a concise sake selection, and cocktails showcasing Japanese ingredients.

Designed by Blainey North, the space leans toward moodier, more intimate tones than its European sibling, with curves, leather booth seating, and custom sconces casting a warm evening glow. Think midweek nigiri and wine, or long dinners with friends.

Open for dinner Wednesday to Sunday, with weekend lunch service.
