Cibaria Manly, Alessandro and Anna Pavoni brings the Italian piazza to the beach

Cibaria Manly is an all-day Italian restaurant at the Manly Pacific Hotel from Alessandro and Anna Pavoni, the team behind a'Mare, Ormeggio at The Spit and Postino Osteria. Think morning espresso at the caffetteria, afternoon gelato, aperitivo at the champagneria and dinner at the spaghetteria or bisteccheria, all with one of the best beachfront views in Australia.

Luchetti Krelle has designed a visually engaging space built around multiple open kitchens, a pizza oven, cocktail bar and gelato station, with 130 indoor seats plus outdoor dining. The sharing-style menu covers a lot of ground. The Forneria runs wood-oven pizzettas, the Antipasteria opens with Moreton Bay bug Catalana salad, vitello tonnato and scallops with lemon oil and finger lime.

The Spaghetteria is the one to explore, with squid ink spaghetti aglio e olio with crab and malfada aragosta with rock lobster ragu. The Bisteccheria handles flame-grilled bistecca alla Fiorentina and whole fish. Victor Moya's gelato is made in-house and available from 8am daily, with classics like Piedmont hazelnut and burnt butter alongside the signature Piña Colada coppa. 55 North by Cibaria operates as the beachfront cocktail bar alongside, with Italian-inspired cocktails, aperitivo hour and regular DJ sets.
